That is the default install location. Set it to pass input as arguments. Save it as an application and change all media files to open with that application. This opens two processes in the window manager and uses applescript. Im sure I could make a Obj-c app that does the same, but I'm too lazy to do it right now.

It's true that Perian doesn't offer the same customization for subtitles or support all of the advanced features of modern softsubs, but that's not always a bug when a release decides to do funky things with them and it requires futzing in MPlayer to make them not look horrible.

I've always wondered why soft subs where always over layed on the movie in fullscreen mode, vs, going to the bottom always and trying to take advantage of any "black bars" and not get in the way of movie visuals. It would work great for simple softsub types, like srt!
